Primary care physicians are doctors who monitor your overall health and are trained in every major area of medicine. Loyola’s board-certified primary care physicians provide annual physical exams, recommendations for disease prevention, diagnosis of illness, referrals to specialists and patient education.

With more than 20 primary care clinics throughout the Chicago area, our physicians and advanced practice nurses provide expert care for the entire family.

Types of Primary Care


Loyola offers different adolescent medicine services while treating medical, developmental and mental health conditions for patients ages 12 to 29.

Loyola's family medicine specialists care for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, and often care for several members of the same family.

The geriatric specialists at Loyola offer comprehensive health care management and care for conditions and diseases for adults 65 and older.

Loyola's internal medicine specialists (or internists) undergo extensive training to approach, treat and manage different health care issues facing adults 18 and older.

Loyola’s internal medicine/pediatrics specialists provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages.

Loyola Medicine is nationally recognized for its expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of pediatric conditions across numerous specialties.
