About
I did my medical school training at the University of Chicago along with residency training in ENT becoming board certified in 1978. I did my Vietnam obligation in 1978-80 in the US Navy in Oakland California. I was on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco. I joined the Loyola faculty in 1980 and continue to be on faculty. I am a tenured professor and former Vice-Chair (1986-2016) and Chair of the Department OLHNS (2006-2016). I was residency program chair from 1996-2006. I have written or co-authored over 300 articles, chapter, and books. I have been president of the Chicago Laryngological Society, and American Rhinological Society (ARS). I was on the Board of Directors of the ARS and the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). I have given over 500 presentations as faculty, guest speaker, or paper presentations nationally and internationally. I have been designated a Best Doctor in Chicago and nationally for over 20 years for my clinical expertise. I am nationally and internationally known for my expertise in nasal and sinus surgery performing over 15000 surgeries.
