Why I Chose Loyola:  I chose Loyola for my pediatric residency because it felt like home. The welcoming atmosphere and supportive culture was immediately apparent on my interview day, and my interviewers truly cared about getting to know me as an individual. I wanted a diverse residency program that would support me as both a person and a physician, and I’m so grateful to have found that at Loyola!

Fun Fact:  I once competed for the Syrian national chess team. It turns out spending hours staring at a chessboard trains you pretty well for long rounds and quick clinical decisions—plus, it gave me a lifelong appreciation for strategy and really quiet rooms.  
Why I Chose Loyola:  As a Stritch graduate, I had the opportunity to experience Loyola’s collaborative and supportive learning environment firsthand. I knew the Medicine and Pediatrics programs offered not only exceptional clinical training, but also mentorship from faculty who truly care about resident growth. Loyola’s diverse patient population and location near Chicago and close to home made it the perfect place for me to continue my medical journey.

What are your career plans? Hospitalist medicine, infectious disease, critical care, adult congenital heart disease. Hopefully I'll narrow it down in the next four years!
