Roberto A. Oleas Narea
Medical School: Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo (UEES), Guayaquil, Ecuador
Residency: John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois
Roberto Oleas was born and raised in the coastal city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. He graduated Cum Laude at Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo, School of Medicine in Ecuador. He worked for one year as PCP in a rural area of Ecuador before moving to the USA. He completed his internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger Jr Hospital of Cook County Health. Currently, he is a second-year GI fellow at Loyola. He is enthusiastic about advanced endoscopic procedures and biliopancreatic diseases. If he is not scoping in the GI Lab, Roberto will always be engaging in outdoor activities, such as biking and going to the beach. His other hobbies include cooking Ecuadorian cuisine, practicing yoga, reading Hispanic writers, weight lifting and playing the saxophone.

Ryan Meader, DO

I was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. I attended Michigan State University for undergraduate, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University for medical school, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for internal medicine residency and Loyola University Medical Center for Hepatology fellowship. I choose Loyola University to continue with Gastroenterology Training because of the wide array of pathology, supportive/family like nature of the current fellows and faculty. In my free time I enjoying playing sports such as golf and basketball, enjoying exploring Chicago and new restaurants and taking my two French bulldogs for walks.

David Lehoang, MD

Residency: University of Southern California / Los Angeles General Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency
David Lehoang grew up in Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree at the University of Southern California, where he also completed his Internal Medicine residency and obtained an MBA from the Marshall School of Business. He was drawn to the Loyola Gastroenterology Fellowship Program for its strong sense of community and collaborative environment. He has academic and research interests in IBD with an interest in ulcerative colitis. He particularly enjoys the continuity of care associated with this population. Outside of medicine, David enjoys tennis, cooking, fencing, and exploring Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene. He especially values sharing meals and culinary experiences with family and friends.

Sagar Dommaraju 
Sagar Dommaraju was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He studied mathematics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, completed a Master's in Global Health Sciences at the University of California San Francisco, returned to Chicago for medical school and internal medicine residency at Northwestern, and then worked for one year as a nocturnist. Now, he could not be more excited to start his training as a Gastroenterology Fellow at Loyola! When he's not at work, you may catch him at the beach playing pick-up volleyball, in the gym trying to last 30 minutes on the Stairmaster, in the kitchen simmering spices for a lamb vindaloo, or playing poker/board games with friends.
Serena Korkmaz
Serena Korkmaz grew up in Rockford, Illinois. She went to University of Illinois at Chicago for undergrad and University of Illinois for medical school. As she had loved working as a post-bac researcher at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, she decided to head back to the area for residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She thoroughly enjoyed her time on the east coast and is ecstatic to be back home in Chicago for fellowship at Loyola. In her free time, she enjoys biking, exploring the city by foot, drawing, spending time with friends and family, and dabbling in many different hobbies.
Tanisha Ronnie
Tanisha Ronnie grew up in Minneapolis, MN. She attended the University of Minnesota for both undergrad and medical school, before moving to Chicago for Internal Medicine residency at Loyola. She is thrilled to be staying on at Loyola as a GI fellow! In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, as well as gardening, thrifting, and playing pickleball and golf.
Elizabeth Soladoye
Elizabeth Soladoye was born and raised in Nigeria and earned her medical degree from the prestigious University of Ibadan in Nigeria, where she developed a strong foundation in internal medicine along with a deep commitment to disease prevention and global health equity. Driven by a passion to address health disparities on a broader scale, she obtained a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Texas A&M University. She completed her internal medicine residency at Piedmont Athens Regional in Georgia and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership and service. Elizabeth is excited to be a gastroenterology fellow at Loyola University Medical Center where she continues to advance her commitment to equitable, evidence- based care, research innovation and mentorship of future physician-leaders. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, karaoke, playing the violin, visiting museums and curating photographs that capture meaningful moments and stories.

Veronica Williams, MD
Medical School: Oakland University William Beaumont (OUWB) School of Medicine
Residency: Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL
Originally from the Northwest Side of Chicago, Veronica earned her undergraduate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and her medical degree from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Michigan. She returned to the Chicagoland area to complete her internal medicine residency at Loyola, where she also served as Chief Resident. In this role, she was the Loyola Inpatient Chief, leading General Medicine Morning Report and overseeing resident scheduling. She is excited to continue her training at Loyola as a Gastroenterology fellow! Outside of the hospital, she enjoys staying active at the gym, exploring the Lakefront Trail and the Bloomingdale Trail (The 606), and checking out Chicago’s incredible restaurant scene.

Vineela Appalaneni, MD
Medical School: University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
Residency: Loyola University Medical Center
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Vineela attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor for undergrad (Go Blue!). She returned to her home state to earn her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and then moved to Chicago to complete Internal Medicine residency at Loyola. She then pursued a Chief Resident year at Loyola, serving as a Chief Resident of Quality and Safety based at the Hines VA, expanding her QI skills and delving into the world of improvement science and patient safety. Having had an excellent experience with the GI and Hepatology faculty at Loyola during residency, she is excited to be staying on to complete her GI fellowship training here! Outside of the hospital, you can find her at Solidcore, adding books to her TBR list, or planning her next vacation.
