MAYWOOD, IL – Paula White, MD, FACOG, has been appointed Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Loyola Medicine and the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
Dedicated OB/GYN clinician, educator and leader at Loyola
Dr. White has served as interim chair since August 2024, providing steady leadership during a period of transition and earning the trust, respect and confidence of faculty, residents and clinical colleagues. A proud Loyola alumna, Dr. White earned her medical degree from the Stritch School of Medicine and completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center. For more than two decades, she has been a dedicated clinician, educator and physician leader within Loyola Medicine.
Proven leader in patient care, medical education and quality improvement
A professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and associate chief medical information officer, Dr. White has led the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2013, overseeing clinical operations, faculty development and educational initiatives. Her leadership in medical education has earned her multiple CREOG National Faculty Awards, and she is consistently recognized among the top 10% of faculty by medical students. Dr. White brings deep expertise in clinical care, quality improvement, informatics and patient safety, and her collaborative leadership style has helped cultivate a culture of continuous improvement across the department.
