Teens with existing myLoyola accounts will need to follow the "New teen account setup" listed below in order to access a MyChart teen account after February 28, 2026.
New teen account setup
- A new teen account can only be set up in person at the provider's office.
- To activate the account, the legal guardian must give consent, and the minor must also agree to having the account created.
- After both consents are received, an activation code is sent to the minor’s email or phone.
- The minor then uses that activation code to create their own username and password.
Once the account is created, the minor receives full access to MyChart features, including:
- Messaging their care team
- Managing and scheduling appointments
- Viewing their health information
- Requesting prescription refills
- And other standard MyChart tools
MyChart provides an easy way to ask your doctor basic, non-urgent questions using secure electronic messaging. This way you can receive an answer without repeated calls. Having a convenient summary of your health information, such as when you are due for preventive tests like a mammogram or prostate exam, helps you be a more active partner in maintaining and improving your health.
- Existing myLoyola account holders can use their existing username and password to access the new MyChart account. If a username is already in use by another MyChart user, an email will be sent with an activation code and instructions to create a new username.
- For those without a myLoyola account, click “Sign Up” to create your new MyChart account.
- Your MyChart account will populate information after February 28, 2026.
