Dr. Matthew Kircher is an otologist and neurotologist at Loyola Medicine who specializes in treating ear and hearing disorders, balance problems, and tumors of the ear and skull base. He combines advanced surgical skills with a patient-first approach to help people improve their hearing and quality of life.
His areas of expertise include cholesteatoma, chronic ear infections, otosclerosis, vestibular disorders, facial nerve paralysis, and skull base tumors such as acoustic neuroma. He performs cochlear implants, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, and other delicate ear surgeries. Patients benefit from his precise surgical technique and thorough explanations of what to expect before and after procedures.
Dr. Kircher trained at Loyola University Medical Center and completed advanced fellowship training at the Michigan Ear Institute. In addition to his clinical work, he is active in research and contributes to national ENT committees, staying at the forefront of new treatments for ear disease.
