Dr. Layan Alrahmani is an Assistant Professor and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist, specializing in the care of high risk pregnancies. She manages a wide range of maternal and fetal high risk conditions, with a special interest in diagnostic fetal ultrasound and maternal disease.Dr. Alrahmani also performs specialized pregnancy-related procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and cerclage.Dr. Alrahmani is interested in education and mentorship on a large scale utilizing contemporary technology and social media as a platform to reach a wider audience. Her work has led to international recognition and she serves on numerous committees and task forces regionally and nationally. She is currently an active member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine communications committee.Dr. Alrahmani has been recognized for teaching, research and clinical excellence, and has earned multiple awards including the Mayo Clinic Academy of Educational Excellence for excellence in education research and dissemination, Sidney F. Bottoms award for excellence in research and the Arthur G. Seski MD Chairman award.
