MAYWOOD, IL – It’s a boy! Charlie was the first baby delivered at Loyola University Medical Center in 2025, and it was a special delivery for all involved. Charlie entered the world at 2:21 a.m. weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
Charlie's mother, Natalia, is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health at Loyola University Medical Center. She started in labor and delivery at Loyola Medicine's Gottlieb Memorial Hospital 12 years ago.
"It's been so special to deliver all three of our blessings here at Loyola," said Natalia. "Everyone really makes you feel like family and you are cared for at the highest level. We've had three incredible experiences and it's all due to the people. So much gratitude that these people are also my colleagues. We were excited to come in and see familiar faces to kick off the new year!"
Charlie is doing well and ready to go home with his mom, Natalia Alwan, and dad, Mason. Charlie is the couple’s third child and will be the little brother to Brooks and Amelia.
