Current Residents & Program Graduates

Welcome Message from the Chief Residents

On behalf of the Chief Residents, we wanted to say thank you for your interest in our program at Loyola Medicine. We are very proud of Loyola’s psychiatry residency program for a variety of reasons. At Loyola, we strive to create an atmosphere of intellectual curiosity that is endorsed by highly qualified and supportive faculty members from a diverse sub-specialty and residents. Teaching and learning occurs in a friendly and non-intimidating environment that provides the residents with a sense of support and gentle guidance. Aside from our great faculty, our esteemed training facilities provide exposure to a diverse patient population with a vast array of psychiatric conditions and patient-centered treatment approaches in an integrated setting with primary care services. Our program offers ample opportunities to pursue individual interest in research and academia.

We also strive towards having a great work-life balance, as we know that this allows our residents’ intellectual curiosity to flourish while still allowing them to pursue interests outside of work. Our residents are a very diverse and close-knit group, and you can often find us gathering downtown or nearby Loyola during weekdays and weekends! We look forward to learning more about you and sharing with you all the other reasons that make Loyola’s psychiatry program so great!
