Who We Are

Meet our Residents, Faculty and More

Loyola internal medicine residents at work

The Internal Medicine Residency program at Loyola trains hundreds of residents each year at our nationally recognized hospital and ambulatory locations and with our renowned faculty.

Meet our current residents, chief residents, faculty, leaders and support staff and learn about the fellowships that residents have moved onto as well as what a resident's life looks like in this program.

Our Core Values and Program Mission Statement:

Loyola internal medicine residents at work

This is each trainee’s one residency:

  • We reject the idea that whatever has been done will always be done, but rely on prior experiences to help prevent repeat errors
  • We acknowledge that merely replicating the curriculum/systems in place at other institutions is NOT fruitful and in some cases could be harmful
  • We celebrate the positive programs we have in place at our institution and the dedicated faculty and GME leadership who supports us
  • We seek to focus on optimizing resident educational experiences, not merely on staffing needs of the hospital
  • We value continuity of care and longitudinal training experiences
  • We value resident wellness, requests and professional goals
  • We seek to establish firm caps as a patient safety initiative and to improve morale
  • We value diverse clinical experiences and consult experiences
