About

I grew up in Lahore Pakistan and attended Punjab Medical College Faisalabad, and graduated in 1995. After that I immigrated to United States and started my internship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN in 1999 and went on to Boston, MA for my anesthesiology residency at Tufts New England Medical Center and graduated in 2003. I completed a Pediatric Anesthesiologist Fellowship in 2004 from Medical College of WI with a focus on anesthesia for congenital heart lesions. Later that year I joined University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, Oklahoma City, OK as Assistant Professor. In 2009, I moved to Texas and joined McGovern Medical School, UTHealth at Houston, TX as Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology. At UTHealth, my involvement with medical school was extensive and I was invited to join Academy of Master Educators in 2017. In January 2021 I joined Loyola University Medical Center as Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
