Great!

If it were not for Dr. Jonah Rubin, I most likely would have hightailed it out of Loyola and pursued treatment elsewhere. Dr. Rubin has been consistently respectful, kind, reassuring, and a friendly familiar face to see in clinic and the GI lab. Dr. Rubin has an innate positive vibe and cool as a cucumber approach that I wish more physicians possessed. I would also like to extend a special mention to Dr. Samuel Engman, the fellow who was present at my 5/23/2025 appointment. Dr. Engman has demonstrated similar attributes and his future patients will be just as fortunate as I to have access to wonderful care. Dr. Engman is also only one of two fellows in this clinic who bothered to wash their hands prior to conducting the interview and physical assessment. The reality is that a large number, perhaps most, of the providers I have encountered as a patient or as an RN fall short of providing an authentic drive to facilitate in a patient's healing process. These providers appear detached from their patients, thus rendering dismissive and inadequate care. It is a blessing to have Dr. Rubin as my hepatologist and I wish the best for Dr. Engman's bright future!
