MAYWOOD, IL – Tara Yurinich, MSN, RN, has joined Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) as its Chief Nursing Officer, effective Dec. 15. In this leadership role, Yurinich will oversee nursing services at GMH and serve as a key clinical executive for Loyola Medicine.

Yurinich has been serving as the interim CNO at Gottlieb since October and before that, held the role of executive director of clinical operations at Loyola University Medical Center since 2019. With 24 years of nursing experience, she has worked in various clinical capacities, including emergency and trauma nursing. Before joining Loyola Medicine, Yurinich was the director of emergency services at MetroSouth Medical Center, where she also served as Interim Chief Nursing Officer.

Yurinich holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Loyola University and a master's degree in nursing from Aurora University. She is actively involved in the Chicagoland community, leading events focused on injury prevention, gun violence reduction and first aid education. Additionally, Yurinich is a strong advocate for clinical nurses, serving as a senior leader on Loyola University Medical Center’s nurse staffing and finance council, one of its most engaged professional governance bodies. Her leadership played a key role in LUMC achieving its recent 4th ANCC Magnet© designation.

Over the last two months, Yurinich has built strong relationships with the GMH nursing and executive teams as well as various clinical partners.
