Chili cook-off benefits minority medical student organization
MAYWOOD, Ill. -- Summerâs past and outside it has turned gloomy, cold and rainy -- perfect weather for a chili cook off.
Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine will let students, faculty and staff to demonstrate their culinary prowess during the 5th Annual Chili Cook Off.
The cooking competition will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26,in the atrium of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, located on the campus of Loyola University Health System, 2160 S. First Ave., Maywood
Participants will be able to sample a variety of chili dishes along with beverages and dessert. Prizes will be awarded for best taste and for best presentation. The cost is $5. Proceeds will benefit the Student National Medical Association, the nationâs oldest and largest independent, student-run organization focused on the needs and concerns of medical students of color.
