MAYWOOD, Ill. - Becker's Hospital Review has named Loyola University Medical Center to its list of "100 Hospitals With Great Heart Programs."
Becker's Hospital Review’s editorial team selected Loyola and other hospitals on the list for their innovative clinical research, high-quality care and state-of-the-art treatments. The hospitals also are educating local populations about heart health and focusing on preventive care and population health, the magazine said.
Hospitals on the top 100 list have received high ratings in heart care and research by health-care rating organizations, including U.S. News & World Report, HealthGrades, Thomson Reuters and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Loyola is ranked 18th in the nation in Cardiology and Heart Surgery, in U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals 2012-2013. This is the 10th year in a row Loyola’s heart program has been nationally ranked by U.S. News.
