WHAT: The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans were released today by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services. They recommend balancing calories with physical activity and consuming healthier foods while limiting the intake of sodium, saturated and trans fats, sugars and refined grains. Loyola dietitians are available to comment on how Americans can incorporate these guidelines into their everyday lives to improve their overall health. They can provide tips to help Chicagoans live healthier, more physically active and longer lives.
