Living with psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic disease of the immune system, but it is not contagious. It causes new skin to form too quickly. There are different types of psoriasis: plaque psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, Guttate psoriasis, pustular psoriasis and erythrodermic psoriasis. There is no cure for this condition, but it can be controlled. Sometimes patients with psoriasis also have psoriatic arthritis.
