MAYWOOD, IL – Katherine Spangenberg, MD, has joined Loyola Medicine as a new primary care physician. Dr. Spangenberg will see patients at the Loyola Center for Health at Oak Park South, on Lake Street.
Dr. Spangenberg said she enjoys the relationships she develops with patients and their families and how that long-term familiarity can create better care.
“It’s a joy and a privilege to be a part of families’ lives and help them live happier, healthier lives,” Dr. Spangenberg said.
Dr. Spangenberg is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine in the Division of Internal Medicine at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She has more than a decade of experience in internal medicine and pediatrics, previously working at Meridian Medical Associates in Plainfield, Illinois, and as pediatric chief resident at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Spangenberg, of Chicago, earned her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics.
