Graduate Medical Education- Committee
Each Program will appoint a peer-selected representative from each residency program to serve for the upcoming year with the expectation that at least one individual be able to attend each meeting.
GME-C meets on the second Friday of the month from 7:30-9:00 am in SSOM 360. Members of this committee represent housestaff for insight/opinions and direct feedback to the committee. Participation of residents and fellows on this committee is required by ACGME.

Housestaff Governance serves as a relay point for information from and to programs. It also serves as an opportunity to get to know your fellow trainees in GME. HSG meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12-1:00 pm unless otherwise notified. Meetings are usually heald in SSOM 150 and lunch is provided. Representatives to this committee are peer selected. Each program should have at least two representatives.
Items of concern in your program should be brought to this group to discuss. Institutional / ACGME issues for which the GME office is responsible will be discussed here.

- EPIC changes/ initiatives
- Call Room issues
- Safety Concerns
- How to report mistreatment or patient safety concerns

Housestaff Quality and Safety Committee
Each Program Director will appoint at least two representatives from each residency program to serve for the upcoming year with the expectation that at least one individual be able to attend each meeting.
The HQSC meets every third Tuesday of the month between 5-6pm. The goal of this committee is to identify motivated residents and connect them into the various Loyola/Trinity Quality Improvement projects, as well as to ensure residents maintain a voice in hospital initiatives.
Members of this committee are awarded a GME Quality and Safety Certificate (perfect for a CV) for any individuals meeting the following criteria:
- Attendance at 7 of 11 HQSC meetings
- Active participation in quality improvement or safety project
- Completion of Basic Certificate for IHI Open School Courses

Housestaff Wellness Committee
The Housestaff Wellness Committee is a group of trainees and GME faculty who are focused on increasing and maintaining a strong focus on trainee wellness and resilience throughout the continuum of medical training. Meetings are at least quarterly for 1 hour (with lunch!), and responsibilities include active participation in meetings as well as executing wellness initiatives and events throughout the institution on a monthly basis. Work will be episodic, as different programs take the lead on individual initiatives throughout the year.
