Baby Costumes Crafted with Care by Loyola NICU Nurses
At Loyola University Medical Center’s NICU, our littlest patients receive the most advanced care from top neonatologists and pediatric specialists using the latest technology. Along with outstanding medical care, the infants and their families receive the care and concern of the clinical staff.
For more than 30 years, the NICU nurses have held an annual Halloween costume contest, designing and outfitting the infants, to give the parents a way to enjoy the tradition.
Nurses and other members of the NICU team know the parents are experiencing a stressful time and may miss out on “first baby” traditions, such as Baby’s first Halloween costume. It's one way Loyola Medicine treats patients, body and soul.
This year’s costumes include Alice in Wonderland, Thing 1 and Thing 2, Cubs player Javier Baez, a dragon, magician, train conductor and many more. Visit Loyola Medicine’s Facebook page to see more.
