WHAT: The Loyola Center for Fitness will host a spin relay to benefit Loyola University Health System’s Survivor Care, a wellness program for cancer survivors. Funds raised during the event will create scholarships for people unable to participate in the program due to financial need.
All participants will be a part of a team of at least four people. Individuals are encouraged to sign up as a team, otherwise they will be added to one. Each team will be assigned a bike and must have someone from the team on that bike at all times from 8 p.m. until midnight.
Participants will receive a fundraising packet to help encourage friends, family and neighbors to participate by financially supporting the spinner. Prizes will be raffled off throughout the event. Each member of the team with the highest mileage will receive a prize and the individual who raises the most money will receive a prize.
WHEN: Saturday, April 28
The event will begin at 8 p.m., but participants need to arrive between 7:30 and 7:55 p.m. to check in. A completed registration and waiver form must be submitted to Loyola Center for Fitness staff by April 21.
