Oak Park Chorale to Perform Musical Mission at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital

WHAT: The Oak Park Concert Chorale will carol through the halls of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park. “Research shows that patients respond positively to appropriate tones, rhythms and melodies,” said Linda Fisher, MD, internal medicine and pediatrics at Gottlieb, who also is a certified music therapy practitioner. “Music is relaxing, soothing and enhances a sense of well-being, especially at the holiday time when the hospitalbound are feeling left out of the celebrations.” WHO: Patients ranging from new mothers and their little ones to senior citizens will be treated to a healthy dose of holiday cheer, compliments of the Oak Park Concert Chorale.
