PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Loyola University Health System's new Park Ridge clinic is offering a series of free lectures on how to maintain a healthy heart and prevent strokes.
The Heart Smart Lecture Series speakers will include a physician and nurse practitioners. They will be speaking in Suite 103 of the Loyola Center for Heart and Vascular Medicine at Park Ridge, 1030 W. Higgins Road.
The one-hour lectures will include Power Point presentations and time for questions from the audience. The talks will begin at 6 p.m. on successive Thursdays beginning Sept. 18.
Here is the schedule of topics:
Sept. 18 -- Stroke.
Sept. 25 -- Family heart health.
Oct. 2 --Atrial fibrillation and how to treat it.
Oct. 9 -- Cardiac risk factors.
Oct. 16 -- Women's heart health.
Oct. 23 -- Peripheral vascular disease.
