Loyola Center for Health at Homer Glen will offer free blood pressure screenings and a Thera-Band class during Senior Week activities at the Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St.
Loyola is among the organizations participating in Senior Week, which runs from Oct. 6 through Oct. 9. On Monday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Loyola will raffle prizes and offer blood pressure screenings and health information.
Loyola will offer a Thera-Band class on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. In a Thera-Band workout, elastic bands and rubber tubing are used in resistance exercises for rehabilitation, strength building, injury prevention and fitness.
Loyola Center for Health at Homer Glen, 15750 Marian Drive, offers family and internal medicine, sports medicine and 19 other clinical specialties. Diagnostic services include cardiac stress testing, colonoscopy, diagnostic ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, EMG, endoscopy, laboratory and X-ray.
