Loyola, Gottlieb again receive 'A' safety scores from The Leapfrog Group

MAYWOOD, Ill. (April 29, 2014) – Loyola University Medical Center and Gottlieb Memorial Hospital have again received “A” hospital safety scores from The Leapfrog Group, a respected, independent industry watchdog.

The Hospital Safety Score rates how well a hospital protects patients from accidents, errors, injuries and infections.

The Safety Score uses 28 measures of public hospital safety data to produce a single letter grade from “A” to “F.” Loyola and Gottlieb also were awarded “As” in the 2013 spring and fall Hospital Safety Scores. Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is part of Loyola University Health System.

“No hospital is perfect, but we congratulate the board, clinicians, administration and staff of Loyola and Gottlieb for achieving an “A” and showing us that you made the well-being of your patients a top priority,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group.
