WHAT: Renowned hearing expert and otolaryngologist at Loyola University Health System John Leonetti, MD, will be available to answer questions about hearing impairments following a free showing of the movie “Children of a Lesser God” at the Wheaton Studio Movie Grill. Kyle Raterman, PhD, clinical audiology, also will be on hand to answer questions about the latest technology in hearing instruments for adults and children.
“Children of a Lesser God” is an adaption of the Tony Award-winning play that focuses on the relationship between a reluctant-to-speak deaf woman and an unconventional teacher at a school for the deaf. It was the first movie to feature a deaf actress in a leading role since 1926.
Loyola University Health System and Studio Movie Grill Wheaton have partnered to offer a special monthly film series. On the first Thursday of each month, Studio Movie Grill will have a free screening of a movie with a health topic. Loyola University Health System will provide a panel of experts to answer questions following the film.
