Loyola cancer patient loving life after laryngectomy

Randy Ritz's throat cancer led to the removal of his voice box. Ritz's surgeon, Dr. Richard Borrowdale, talks about how a prosthesis allows Ritz to communicate by speaking, rather than writing everything down.

His wife said Ritz has always had a raspy voice and that many friends don't think he sounds that different. Ritz urges other cancer patients facing a larynx removal to go ahead and have the life-saving cancer surgery done.
