Kim Brown, who holds the title of Ms. Wheelchair Illinois, talks about the condition she was born with - spina bifida. Ms. Brown discusses the numerous operations she has had at Loyola and the care she has received at our Spina Bifida Multidisciplinary Clinic thoughout the years. She reminds us to focus on the person and not the wheelchair - everyone has special talents to share. Her uniquely positive attitude makes her a very special patient for us and we hope to help her regain more abilities going forward.
