Sports Medicine

The sports medicine program at Loyola provides specialized medical, rehabilitative and surgical services to individuals with sports-related injuries. Loyola sports medicine specialists are nationally and internationally acclaimed academic leaders in education and research. Our physicians have extensive experience in treating elite and professional athletes. We are the exclusive medical providers of the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League, Loyola University Chicago and Lewis University Athletics, as well as numerous area high schools. Loyola sports medicine provides services throughout the Chicago area, allowing for same-day or immediate access.

We stress immediate or same-day access and early intervention to provide accurate diagnosis and proper treatment in a timely manner. These elements are essential to returning you to optimal pre-injury condition.

In 2011, Chicago magazine named the director of the program as one of the top sports medicine doctors in Chicago and the suburbs.

Our team of health-care professionals provides comprehensive treatment through all stages of care. The team includes orthopaedic surgeons and primary care (non-surgical) physicians who are fellowship trained in sports medicine as well as licensed physical therapists and athletic trainers.

Loyola's sports medicine specialists stress injury prevention and conservative, non-operative care whenever possible. However, if necessary, we have extensive experience with the latest minimally invasive surgical procedures that will allow you to return to your sport, activity, or job with minimal down-time.
