Rheumatology Services

Loyola rheumatologists treat patients with all types of arthritis, ranging from common forms of bursitis and tendonitis, osteoarthritis and gout to complex inflammatory syndromes like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. They also evaluate and treat connective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, inflammatory muscle diseases, raynaud’s syndrome and vasculitis. The care of patients with osteoporosis is shared with endocrinologists when appropriate. Consultative services including orthopeadic surgery and physical and occupational therapy are readily available.
