Memory Disorder Clinic
Memory function may be compromised by a variety of processes, including neurodegenerative diseases, strokes, brain tumors, head injury, medication side effects and normal aging. Loyola's Memory Clinic provides a comprehensive program for evaluating memory disorders, and providing assessment and treatment. The interdisciplinary team consists of specialists in neurology, geriatric medicine, geriatric psychiatry, neuropsychology and social work.
Services available include neuropsychological and psychosocial evaluation, and medical and geropsychiatric assessment. Imaging studies and other diagnostic testing is available. Additionally, caregiver education and information on community resources and support groups is provided.
