Eligibility

The patient must be having an ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation. The patient must have a history of significant hypertension and be receiving treatment with at least one anti-hypertensive medication.

Purpose

The purpose of this study is to find out if renal sympathetic denervation performed at the same time as a radiofrequency ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation will result in less recurrences of atrial fibrillation.
