Baby Makes Three
The birth of a baby is a happy event, but you will likely have moments of uncertainty after you return home with your newborn. Our "Baby Makes Three" class is designed especially for first-time parents and will explore issues including feeding, diapering, bathing, crying, sleep patterns, signs of illness and safety issues such as car seats.
Other issues covered include:
- Newborn growth and development
- Common child care problems
- When to call a doctor
- Returning to work
The class is led by a childbirth educator. A pediatrician may be available to answer questions and give an overview of key areas such as immunizations, choosing a pediatrician and what to expect from your baby's doctor.
Recommended during the last trimester of pregnancy. One two hour session.
Cost: $25
Class fee includes an infant care book.
