Six Loyola Physicians Named to Chicago Magazine's List of ‘Top Kids' Docs’

MAYWOOD, Ill. -- Six Loyola University Health System pediatric physicians have been named to Chicago Magazine's list of "Top Kids' Docs." Loyola doctors on the list: -- Dr. Rekha Agrawal, pediatric nephrology. Special interests: bed wetting, childhood kidney problems, high blood pressure and kidney failure. -- Dr. James Berman, pediatric gastroenterology. Special interests: children with disabilities, constipation, Crohn's disease, feeding disorders and ulcerative colitis. -- Dr. John Boblick, general pediatrics. Special interests: general pediatrics and adult medicine. -- Dr. Sean Diamond, general pediatrics. Special interests: general pediatrics, special-needs children and ventilator-dependent children at home. --Dr. Joel Hardin, pediatric cardiology. Special interests: adult congenital heart disease; general fetal, neonatal and pediatric cardiology; pediatric cardiac intensive care; pediatric cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension; Kawasaki disease; Marfan syndrome; abnormal lipids and high cholesterol in childhood; and pediatric cardiology outreach. -- Dr. Ricarchito Manera, pediatric hematology/oncology. Special interests: blood diseases, cancer and leukemia. The list was compiled by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, a healthcare research and information company. In mail, telephone and electronic surveys, Castle Connolly asked physicians and medical leadership of leading hospitals to identify "highly, exceptional doctors," according to the October issue of Chicago magazine. Earlier this year, Chicago magazine named 32 Loyola physicians to its 2010 list of Chicago's Top Doctors representing all specialties.
