Picking Up Discharged Patients

Once you are able to leave the hospital, a patient transporter will take you to the first-floor entrance of the Loyola University Hospital Tower. The patient transporter will wait with you until your driver arrives. The lobby is enclosed and the driveway entrance has a roof to protect you from inclement weather.

The entrance is accessible directly from First Avenue. Drivers will turn in at the Loyola University Hospital entrance (blue on the map) and proceed straight ahead into the driveway of the tower. 

If a driver is unavailable to pick you up at the time of discharge, you will be brought to the Hospital Patient Discharge Waiting Room to wait comfortably for your driver. This area is adjacent to the gift shop. When this is the case, your driver should pick you up at the hospital entrance near the gift shop. 

The entrance is accessible from Second Avenue. The driveway to the pick-up area is just north of Loyola University Hospital Tower.
