Nursing Magnet

One of Loyola University Health System's goals is to achieve Magnet status for nursing. Magnet is the highest level of recognition a hospital can achieve for excellence in nursing and is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet Certification recognizes excellence in nursing practices, quality patient care and excellent clinical outcomes.

In support of the Magnet process, LUHS has a Nursing Shared Decision Making Structure. This is a professional practice process designed to foster accountability and evidence-based decision making to support excellence in patient care.
