Education courses at Gottlieb help you and your little one get off to a healthy start.
Prenatal classes are offered to mothers in their third trimester, and to their support people. Kristi White, RN, assistant nurse manager, Family-Centered Care said, “We review the full birth cycle: from the final stages of pregnancy, to labor and delivery, and after baby comes.” The classes are available in three sessions during the week, or two weekend classes for $35.
Infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes are offered four times each year and are recommended for any caregiver. The 90-minute class is only $15. Infant CPR focuses on respiratory issues, says Kristi, using role play on mannequins.
Kari Phillips, internationally certified and licensed lactation consultant, prepares women for breastfeeding during readiness classes. The two-hour sessions cost $35 and address topics such as engorgement and balancing breastfeeding with work schedules.
In the Gottlieb Center for Fitness, exercise physiologists help women stay healthy throughout pregnancy and safely regain or keep their pre-pregnancy shape. Infant massage classes are offered to teach moms how to comfort their babies through the healing power of touch.
