Aeromedical Services

Loyola University Health System's (Loyola) emergency medical program helicopter is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to care for critically ill or injured patients within a 200-mile radius of Chicago.

The helicopter will transport trauma patients as well as critically ill burn, cardiac, neonatal, pediatric, transplantation, and high-risk obstetrical patients. In addition, aeromedical services are used to transport organs for Loyola's heart, heart-lung, liver and renal transplantation programs.

Aeromedical transport services may only be requested by authorized individuals and agencies, including physicians, hospital personnel, emergency ambulance services, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and industrial representatives.
