Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) is the core of Loyola and one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.

Specialized Facilities

At the heart of the west suburban-based medical center is Loyola University Hospital, a teaching, tertiary-care 570-licensed-bed hospital. Many specialized facilities are located on the campus including Loyola’s Burn Center, Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine, Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center, Loyola Outpatient Center, Loyola Oral Health Center and Level I Trauma Center. Loyola also includes Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and the Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing.

Network of Care

In addition to LUMC, Loyola features an exclusive network of specialty and primary care centers in Chicago’s western and southwestern suburbs. Primary care facilities are located in Darien, Elmhurst, Glendale Heights, Hickory Hills, Homer Glen, LaGrange Park, Maywood, North Riverside, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Park, Orland Park and Wheaton.

Specialty services are provided at the Loyola Aesthetic Center at Oakbrook Terrace, Loyola Ambulatory Surgery Center at Oakbrook, Loyola Center for Children’s Health at Oakbrook Terrace, Loyola Center for Health at Hickory Hills, Loyola Center for Health at Homer Glen and the Loyola Oakbrook Terrace Imaging Center. Loyola also serves as co-owner-operator of RML Specialty Hospital, a long-term care facility for ventilator-dependent patients in Hinsdale, Ill.
