Loyola University Hospital Tower

Enhancing the Loyola Experience

Patient comfort and convenience was at the heart of planning for the expansion of the  Loyola University Hospital Tower and the William G. & Mary A. Ryan Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine. The $103 million hospital expansion includes 12 new operating rooms and 64 private hospital rooms. The first phase of construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2008.

Getting Around During Construction

Loyola understands the challenges that visitors face in getting around its medical center campus. We've taken steps to make access easy during construction. A new entryway is near the entrance to Parking Deck A, just south and west of the former entrance at Russo. Convenience and accessibility have been enhanced at the relocated entrance to include a wider wheelchair ramp, a larger landing, automatic door openers and a canopy extending to the street. Valet parking is available.

More wheelchairs are available for use by visitors and patients at the new entryway. Benches line the walkway to the hospital, making it easy to rest while moving from one building to another.
