Loyola University Health System's team approach to research is the foundation upon which our new center will be built. The crucial connection between researchers, nurses, physicians and other health-care providers is what allows us to move toward new therapies and leading-edge treatments, leading to innovations that will save and improve lives.
In collaboration with the Edward J. Hines Jr. Department of Veteran's Affairs Hospital (Hines), which borders the Loyola University Medical Center campus, Loyola plans to build a $100 million research and education facility within the next three to five years. The center will combine the resources and maximize the talents of Loyola and Hines researchers offering scientists state-of-the-art laboratories, the latest equipment and advanced information management.
Our new facility will provide teaching areas with the recognition that our scientists are life-long learners. To them, it's not simply research but an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our patients. Our research programs include training future scientists to ensure that vital research will continue for years to come.
A gift officer would be happy to speak with you about funding our research and education facility.
